Performance evaluations will be completed by the immediate supervisor by ongoing assessment of proficiency and performance.

Job Summary:
The Department Supervisor will oversee daily production, supervise production staff, ensure quality and safety standards.Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manages production employees.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations.
- Ensures efficient operations.
- Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise.
- Notify the maintenance department of equipment problems.
- Ensures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Thorough understanding or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical skills with ability to understand manufacturing.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and team oriented.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them with appropriate.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or at least 3 years work-related experience.
- Union experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
